*** BONUS Solution Included - Eliminating Mildew, Mold, Odor from the Washer

Figure 1 - The Problematic Type of Front Load Washing Machines (Whirlpool shown above)

PROBLEM:
While using the washer, you will hear a terrible clicking noise or a rattle (sometimes is very evident during the spin stage).  Occasionally, you may find some water has leaked (not always associated with this problem, but if you have seen a little bit of a leak...this should fix that)...or, if your machine will not drain water, you will want these repair instructions (and save yourself a bundle on a service call...and a lot of time just waiting on service...this can be done in 20 minutes by anyone.)

Figure 2 - T
ool Required T-20 Torx Driver

TOOLS REQUIRED:
Only a
T-20 Torx driver...worth buying (for about $4)...it'll save you big money by doing this fix.  This type of Torx screwdriver can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, or auto stores like AutoZone...I found one specifically at www.AutoZone.com for $4.99 (part #74-220).

TIME REQUIRED:
Mechanically Inclined - 10 minutes
First Timer - 20-30 minutes

This is a low challenge repair...anyone with the ability to use the torx driver shown in Figure 4.2 and with the instructions should be able to repair their refrigerator.

Cost to do it yourself :  About $19.99 (+ the cost of the T-20 torx driver if you don't have one...about $4).

Cost to Repair by Repairman:  $180 or more.

Savings: $160.01 or more.
